Harmony Helps the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
October is Marathon Month, and on October 12th the people of Chicago will see 40,000 runners make their way through the city for 26.2 miles. Many of these runners are doing it for fun, sport, challenge, or all of the above. Many more of these runners are also doing it for a cause, charity or even a specific person in their lives.
When I ran the marathon, I did it in memory of my Mom, who passed away in June 2006 of Lymphoma. While she was sick and I was traveling to and from Michigan every week, running and Pilates were two of my biggest comforts and outlets. Training for the marathon after she passed away was some of the best therapy I had, and to this day I get excited when I see the purple jerseys of the TEAM in TRAINING crew go by on Marathon Sunday.
While I won’t be running the marathon this year, I would still like to do my part in raising money and awareness for this wonderful organization, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
So join me Sunday, October 26th at 11AM for a special hour and a half Xtend Barre-Camp Class. All proceeds of this no cost/donation only class will go to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Suggested donation of $25. Space is limited so call the studio at 773-296-0263 or click here to sign-up on-line and reserve your space today.
Can’t make class, but still want to donate? Visit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society webpage to donate.
Thanks and be well!
